The spirit of our licences

I created these digital designs to fuel your personal hobby and creative enjoyment. When you purchase from Saucermen Studios, you’re supporting the livelihood of an independent artist who pours passion into every model.

The license is simple in spirit: print the models for yourself only, enjoy the hobby, and respect the artwork. I don’t expect you to profit from my work, organize group purchases to circumvent individual licensing, or treat my intellectual property as your own.

I trust the community to use these files responsibly and ask that you help me continue creating by honoring both the letter and spirit of these terms.

You may NOT do any of the following with our STL files, BeamDown exports, or associated assets:

Distribution & Commercial Use:

  • Share, distribute, repackage, sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the files in any format (digital or physical)
  • Upload to file-sharing platforms, cloud storage accessible by others, or peer-to-peer networks
  • Include in commercial products, services, or productions of any kind
  • Use in video games, virtual tabletops, apps, educational materials, broadcast media, films, TV shows, etc

Modification & Reverse Engineering:

  • Modify, alter, remix, or create derivative works from the original files
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract assets from BeamDown or associated software
  • Convert file formats for redistribution purposes
  • Combine with other digital assets for commercial distribution

Intellectual Property Violations:

  • Claim ownership, authorship, or copyright of any models, designs, or assets
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright notices, watermarks, or identifying marks
  • Register trademarks or seek intellectual property protection for our designs
  • Present the work as your own creation in any context

Specific Restrictions:

  • Mass production for sale (personal printing only)
  • Use as templates or bases for commercial model creation
  • Integration into subscription services, marketplaces, or digital libraries
  • Automated or bulk processing for commercial purposes

Downloadable / Digital Product Terms & Conditions

By purchasing, downloading, or using any digital product from Saucermen Studios – including but not limited to BeamDown, STL files, or exported assets – you agree to the following terms and conditions:

License Grant
Upon purchase or access, you are granted a single-user, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal use only. This includes the right to 3D print the files for your own personal use.

Intellectual Property
All digital products, models, designs, exports, and associated content remain the sole intellectual property of Saucermen Studios. You may not claim ownership of any product or its likeness. All copyrights are retained by Saucermen Studios.

Liability & Support
Saucermen Studios and its team are not liable for any damages, losses, or claims resulting from the download, use, or misuse of our digital products. We are not obligated to provide technical support, updates, or ongoing maintenance for these products or services.

BeamDown Terrain Designer

All terms and conditions outlined on this page also apply to the use of BeamDown: Terrain Designer.

Ongoing Development – BeamDown is an evolving platform, with ongoing improvements, new content, and added features. As the platform develops, functionality may change or be updated over time.

BeamDown Access – BeamDown accounts are licensed for use by a single individual. Login details may not be shared, and accounts must not be used on publicly accessible or shared computers such as kiosks or communal devices.


Saved Projects, Blueprints & Builds – Each user account can store up to 100 saved projects, which can be deleted and replaced as needed. Saucermen Studios is not responsible for data loss, missing files, or issues with user-created content. To avoid losing important work, we strongly recommend exporting STL files or other critical builds, as long-term storage and data recovery cannot be guaranteed.

Supports & Printability: Because BeamDown allows customization of terrain, we cannot guarantee that all exports will be support-free. Some models may require supports, and in rare cases certain configuration combinations may produce minor mesh errors. To ensure the best results, we recommend checking your exports in a slicer or 3D software before printing.

Return & Refund Policy

You are protected under the Queensland Consumer Guarantee.

Returns will be considered on a case-by-case basis for faulty products that meet the conditions outlined below.

All returns must be authorised by Saucermen Studios before sending any item back. To begin the return process, please contact us at info@saucermenstudios.com.au. If the product is confirmed to be faulty, Saucermen Studios will arrange and cover the cost of return shipping.

Please note:

  • Digital products will not be refunded once downloaded, delivered or accessed.
  • Returns and refunds are not available for change of mind or purchases made in error, including back-orders and pre-orders.
  • Returned physical items must be unused, in the same condition you received them, and in their original packaging.

Customer Reviews

We genuinely value customer feedback and love seeing your printed results shared with the community. After completing a purchase, you may receive an automated email inviting you to rate the products and share your experience.

All submitted reviews are subject to moderation prior to publication. Fake, irrelevant, misleading or spam content will be removed.

By uploading images as part of your review, you grant Saucermen Studios permission to use those images for promotional purposes – including on our website, social media, and other marketing materials.

To leave a review for a product you’ve purchased, simply visit the product’s page and open the ‘REVIEWS’ tab.

Shipping & Delivery

Please note that we are unable to ship to PO Boxes. A valid street address is required for delivery. If this presents an issue, please contact us to discuss alternative delivery options.

Saucermen Studios reserves the right to cancel and refund any order where shipping costs have been incorrectly calculated or charged. In such cases, we will always contact you to resolve the issue and explore available solutions.

Commercial Print Partners

We work with a small number of authorised partners who are licensed to print and sell our 3D printed terrain. You can view the full list of approved partners here.

All commercial partners are required to comply with the terms outlined in our Commercial Licence Agreement, which can be downloaded here.

Media and Commercial Publication Restrictions

All photographs, renders, videos, and other media created by or provided by Saucermen Studios remain the intellectual property of Saucermen Studios.

Saucermen Studios welcomes and encourages non-commercial coverage, reviews, and community content featuring our products, this includes use by hobbyists, reviewers, bloggers, content creators, and media outlets for the purpose of sharing news, reviews, gameplay experiences, or general hobby-related commentary but does not grant any rights for commercial publishing, licensing, or resale of such media.

Kickstarter Late Pledges

If you place an order for a product that is not yet available for delivery (such as a Kickstarter Late Pledge), your order status will remain marked as ‘Processing’ until distribution begins.

Late pledges purchased through www.saucermenstudios.com.au that are cancelled before the campaign is distributed will incur a $25 AUD processing fee, which will be deducted from the refund amount.

Saucermen Studios reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time.
