3D Printing & STL Files
Who is Saucermen Studios?
We’re an established and growing 3D printable terrain studio based in Brisbane, Australia.
You can see more about the team here.
How do I get My STL Files?
All of the STL files you purchase on our website are available instantly in the ‘Downloads’ section of your account. You will also receive an email with the link.
Can I sell or share the Saucermen Studios STL files or printed terrain?
No. As per our Terms & Conditions, you cannot sell, share, give-away or redistribute the files or any prints.
We have a number of licenced partners around the world who are authorised to print and sell our 3D printed terrain. You can see a full list of them here.
Do I need supports when printing the STL files?
No. All of of our terrain is designed so that no supports are required when printing them on FDM printers.
Can I print your terrain on a resin printer?
Although we primarily design and test for FDM printers (PLA filament), resin printing is definitely an option. Some of the smaller models, scatter terrain and bases would look incredible when printed with resin but you could also use your preferred software to split and glue any of the larger pieces such as buildings depending on your plate size.
All models are provided without supports.
What size 3D printer do I need?
We design all of our STL files to fit on most common FDM print beds, such as the Ender 3. This means we aim to have all prints fit on a print bed smaller than 220mm x 220mm.
What print settings do you recommend?
For most of our prints, we use .2 layer height with 5-10% infill.
You can see more about recommended print settings for tabletop terrain here.
Can I become a licenced printer?
We do offer commercial print licences for various terrain sets. If you would like to become a licenced printer, please review the commercial licence terms here or contact alex@saucermenstudios.com.au if you have any questions.
